Location.
The property is just outside the old Borgo of Panzano.
Located in the middle between Siena and Florence, Panzano is today a delightful ancient Borgo. What remains of the original medieval historic center is now incorporated into the bell tower of the church of Santa Maria—rebuilt in the 19th century on top of the old medieval building. Today it includes what was once the tower of the castle destroyed several times. As you stroll through the quiet streets, you will immediately feel like you are in another era. On April 25, they celebrate the Good Season Festival at the beginning of spring and organize a lovely festival and a religious procession with many parades in period costumes. On the third weekend of September, it comes the Vino al Vino event, an anniversary during which local producers exhibit their wine and food specialties, open to tastings by everyone.
Panzano is only 7 kilometers away from Greve, the “capital village” of Chianti, where services of any kind are available, such as shops, banks, post offices, public transports that frequently leave towards Florence and Siena.
