[post_content] => This spectacular property is located in the province of Pisa, in the heart of Tuscany, near the Thermal Town of Casciana Terme. In a slightly hilly position, it dominates the surrounding landscape of the plain of Pisa and the nearby mountains. Just opposite, a few hundred meters away, stands the famous castle of Lari, a medieval fortress renovated by the Medici in the 16th century.
The residential complex consists of: the large Villa, the Dependance, the garage, the room for storing tools and the changing room of the tennis court. All the buildings have been recently renovated and are perfectly habitable. The Villa is accessed from a nineteenth-century gate by means of a wide avenue bordered on the sides by a row of lime trees that leads to the car parking areas (max 25 cars).
The Big Villa (870 sq m) consists of a ground floor of approx. 320 and a first floor of 320 sq m in addition to the attic space (230 sq m), two terraces and a loggia. Just in front there is the large comfortable swimming pool (12 x 5 m and 1.40 m deep) decorated with characteristic statues pouring water. The changing rooms of the swimming pool are made up of underground rooms consisting of an entrance, two showers, a WC.
Entering the Villa, on the ground floor you will find: a large entrance hall, a living room with large fireplace, a dining room. On the back of the kitchen there is a dining room with a fireplace, the breakfast room, the bathroom, the boiler room, the utility room and the laundry room. All rooms have direct access to the outside. The floors in the living areas maintain the grit and colored cement tiles of the early 1900s.
Going up to the first floor: the first floor is accessed via the main staircase (in addition to a secondary staircase which also leads to the attic rooms). The wide corridor on the first floor leads to 2 suites with bathroom, to 1 suite with large bathroom and large terrace, other 2 bedrooms with private bathroom2 and a last 1 bedroom with bathroom accessible from the corridor. The corridor of the bedrooms leads to an additional living room with large windows from the early 1900s, overlooking the valley and a small terrace.
Going up a small flight of stairs, you enter the attic rooms, made up of precious multipurpose spaces and also a small bedroom and a toilet. From this level you can access the turret of the Villa.
The Dependance next to the Villa consists of an annexed building which includes on the ground floor a large glazed room, usable as a lemon house of 45.00 square meters, and an adjoining room used as a warehouse of 23.00 square meters; on the first floor an apartment for residential use of approx. 86 square meters, consisting of kitchen, living / dining room, two bedrooms and bathroom, as well as a terrace of 8.00 square meters and two closets for a total of 27.00 square meters. The garage is located near the annex, while the tool storage room is located near the secondary driveway gate.
The small cellar, built in the tuff, overlooking the back of the main building, includes four rooms which are accessed by an iron gate.
Canopies: there are three canopies for storing firewood for a total of approx. 60.00 square meters.
All outdoor areas (main avenue, parking, villa, annex, swimming pool, path to the tennis court and bowling alley) enjoy night lighting through some cast iron street lamps, lanterns and wall lamps.
The vast land belonging to the buildings and the agricultural land of the property are total more than 3,400 hectares. Next to the villa, maritime pines, Lebanese cedars and magnolias frame the outdoor garden with lemon basins and a gazebo that can be used for outdoor dining. On the back of the villa there is a barbecue and a brick oven for cooking bread and pizza.
At the back of the villa suggestive paths depart, surrounded by greenery, through a forest of ancient oaks, olive trees and local essences (beeches, holm oaks, laurels, etc.), which lead to the 670 square meters tartan tennis court and to the changing rooms. The building consists of an entrance, two showers and a toilet.Next to the changing rooms there is a generator set sufficient for the night illumination with the further possibility of use in case of lack of electricity for partial power supply of the villa.
Next to the villa, a bowling alley has also been created.
The property is equipped with a park of almost one hectare in addition to agricultural / woodland of 2,500 hectares. The driveways to the villa and the park are equipped with nineteenth-century wrought iron gates: this is the main access from the Provincial Street and the three secondary accesses from the other adjacent street.
All systems (gas, electricity, water, heating) are fully functional.
The position of the property offers a suggestive view of the plain of Pisa and the nearby mountains. The villas built in this area since the Renaissance times have constituted the summer residences of the ancient nobility of Pisa, thanks to the favorable climatic conditions that allow a pleasant stay . It is precisely for the position and the favorable climate that these areas, besides being rich in beneficial thermal waters, are also rich in cultivations of fine Chianti wines and excellent quality olive oil.
The property is a few steps from the small charming historic village of Lari, which grew up around the Medieval Castle of the same name, and a few kilometers from Casciana Terme, a well-known Thermal Bath Center in the province of Pisa.
The location of the property also benefits from a favorable and efficient logistics system: 25 minutes from Pisa international airport and 35 minutes from the sea of Livorno, 30 minutes from Volterra and San Gimignano, 40 minutes from Versilia, 50 minutes from Lucca. In less than 1 hour you can reach Florence through a comfortable fast highway.

Italian Renaissance architecture: homes in Florence
The property is on one of the ancient streets in the heart of the old city, full of buildings dating back to the Middle Ages and the Renaissance.
The property for sale is inside a 16th-century building of high historical value and listed by the Italian Fine Arts (Soprintendenza Delle Belle Arti).
It is on the ground floor overlooking a wonderful Renaissance courtyard. Around it, the walls of the Palace preserve frescoes in excellent condition. This courtyard's silence and privacy are interrupted only by the sound of the water of a fountain positioned in the center.
The apartment has high vaulted ceilings and retains historical elements brought to light under the floor, still visible after the last renovation. It is in excellent condition, with an internal surface of 167 square meters, on two levels:
At the first level:
- entrance,
- large living area,
- kitchenette.
- first main bedroom with en-suite bathroom,
- second primary bedroom with en-suite bathroom,
- Service bathroom for the ground floor.
The second level is accessible via a short flight of internal stairs. It comprehends:
- an additional room that can be used as a third bedroom or, if desired, also as a study
- a bath.
The property includes a large cellar.
The heating system is an independent radiant floor heating.
Air conditioning system with individually adjustable thermostats in each room.
A house art museum in Florence Italy
The building belonged to wealthy Florentine families over the centuries. It shows all the nobility of its history and is an emblematic expression of the Renaissance period. After crossing the mighty entrance door, a vast archway adorned with oversized lights and a wrought iron gate from the late nineteenth century. You can glimpse a suggestive glimpse of the charming internal courtyard through it.
On one of the vertical walls of the court, a fresco is visible by the renowned painter of the 1600s, Baldassare Franceschini, known as the Volterrano, which includes an oversized coat of arms with the symbol of the Medici-Della Rovere Family.
The well-kept and elegant condominium consists of only nine residential units. The interiors and exteriors of the building still show the beautiful forms conferred on it by the sixteenth-century architectural interventions, which as for many facilities that overlook the street, give unity to the style of the whole context.
The Palace appears in the list drawn up in 1901 by the Italian General Directorate of Antiquities and Fine Arts as a monumental building considered National Artistic Heritage and has been subject to architectural protections since 1914.
The center of Florence: between art and Renaissance culture
The pedestrian street (strictly without cars) where our building is is one of the main routes from the Santa Croce district towards Piazza del Duomo and Piazza Della Signoria and vice versa. It is of great historical and artistic value due to the - incredible but true - presence of as many as 29 historic buildings, formerly convents, boarding schools, residences of the most powerful Florentine families of the Middle Ages, and then of the Renaissance.
The street is a kind of open-air museum. At every meter they trace historical artifacts of historical value and interest, iconographic presences attributed to artists of the caliber of Domenico Veneziano, Benozzo Gozzoli, Sandro Botticelli and Ridolfo del Ghirlandaio.
Towards the southern part of the street opens the small square of San Pier Maggiore, today manned by a lively fruit and vegetable market, artisan shops, antique dealers, and restaurants. This part retains the appearance of a small commercial and folk borough compared to the residential and noble one that characterizes the rest of the street.
The location is in the heart of the city.
The property is halfway between the Santa Croce district and Piazza del Duomo. It is an area much loved by tourists and locals, on the one hand for its powerful historical and noble character and the other for the welcoming and familiar atmosphere that you breathe.
